Ingredients
Wooden toothpicks
480 g pineapple lumps, save liquid
Thick sliced bacon
Brown sugar
Sids Smokey BBQ Rub
Directions
Soak toothpicks in water. Cut bacon strips in half width-wise. Wrap bacon around pineapple and secure with a toothpick. Sprinkle bacon with brown sugar. Bake on a rimmed baking sheet in a 190˚C oven until bacon is cooked. (about 18 minutes with convection) Serve warm bacon wrapped pineapple appetizers with SIDS SMOKEY BBQ RUB as a dip on the side.
Tip: Line baking sheet pan with baking paper for a (much) easier clean up.
