Ingredients
280 g red cabbage
120 g goat cheese medallions
1½ tbsp bacon
2½ tbsp garlic
2½ tbsp rice bran oil
¾ tbsp lemon juice
1½ tbsp maple or golden syrup
SIDS SALT & PEPPER to taste
Coriander (for serving)
Directions
Preheat the oven to 160°C. Cut the red cabbage into slices as thick as a thumb.
Peel garlic and chop finely. Put the oil in a small bowl. Add lemon juice and garlic then stir. Season to taste with SIDS SALT & PEPPER then set aside.

Place the red cabbage slices on a baking tray lined with baking paper and brush with the garlic-oil mix. Set aside.
Bake at 160°C for 40 minutes. Take out of the oven and spread the goat cheese on the red cabbage steaks. Drizzle with syrup and bake for another 5 minutes, until the goat cheese is slightly brown. Set aside.
Meanwhile, fry the ham cubes over medium to high heat until crispy. Roughly chop the coriander. Serve red cabbage steaks with diced ham and coriander.
