Basundi

Reduced milk with lots of sugar and nuts in it. The flavour comes from nuts and condensed milk. It makes a simple sweet for any special occasion.

Ingredients

1 litre full fat milk
½ cup Condensed Milk
3 tbsp sugar
¼ tsp SIDS CRAZY SALT
½ tsp cardamom powder
¼ cup almonds, chopped finely
¼ cup cashews, chopped finely
¼ cup pistachios, chopped finely
Pinch of saffron

Directions

Put milk, sugar, condensed milk and SIDS CRAZY SALT in a big pan and bring it to a boil. Simmer the pan and cook on medium heat, but keep stirring.
It will form crust on top, fold that into the milk mix and keep cooking until it thickens.
Take it off the heat and add all the other ingredients then mix well.
Pour into a bowl and chill.
Serve cold.
Notes: If it gets very thick after chilling, add some more milk and mix well.
