Ingredients

2 onions, cut into rings & separated
2 tbsp cornflour
2 cups flour
1 tbsp baking powder
1 tsp SIDS SALT & PEPPER
500 ml cold sparkling water
Rice bran oil for frying

Directions

Dust the onion rings in cornflour. Mix together the flour, baking powder and salt. Whisk in enough sparkling water to form a thick batter to coat the onions. Dip the rings into the batter then place into hot oil and fry until golden and crispy.
Drain on kitchen paper, then season with SIDS SALT & PEPPER.
