Bean Sprouts with Fried Garlic

Often served with Hainanese chicken rice. Drizzle some soy sauce mixture and fried garlic on blanched bean sprouts for a simple meal.

Ingredients

4 tbsp peanut oil
¼ tsp SIDS CRAZY SALT
2 garlic cloves
1 tbsp sugar
4 tbsp light soy sauce
6 tbsp water
1⁄2 tsp New York Cut pepper
800 ml water
800 g bean sprouts

Directions

Heat oil over medium heat. Mince garlic with SIDS CRAZY SALT and sauté until golden brown. Remove from oil and set aside.
Pour soy sauce, sugar, water and white pepper into a pan. Cook mixture over low heat until sugar dissolves. Set gravy aside.
Using the same pan, boil water to blanch bean sprouts for about 60 seconds. Dish them out and pour gravy onto them. Garnish with fried garlic.
