Ingredients

1 kg beef stewing steak, cubed
250 ml white wine
15 ml parsley, chopped
2 tsp thyme, chopped
Bay leaf
15 ml rice bran oil
1 tbsp SIDS HOT WORCESTER SAUCE
6 rashers bacon rind removed and cubed
2 carrots, large
1 onion, large, sliced
75 g mushrooms, sliced
200 g tomatoes chopped
1 clove garlic, crushed
250 ml beef stock
SIDS SALT & PEPPER to season

Directions

Make a marinade of the wine, herbs and oil. Put the beef in the marinade and leave in a cool place for 3 hours.
Into a large casserole, put SIDS HOT WORCESTER SAUCE, bacon, onion, carrot and seasoning. Add the mushrooms and tomatoes. Put the marinated beef on top, sprinkle with garlic and SIDS SALT & PEPPER to season. Cover with bacon. Blend the wine with herbs and stock and pour over.
Cover and cook at 150°C in the middle of the oven until tender, about 4 hours.
