Ingredients

1 tbsp rice bran oil
350 g blade steak, 1 cm pieces
1 onion, fine chopped
2 tsp SIDS HOT WORCESTER SAUCE
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp dried oregano
¼ cup pearl barley
6 cups vegetable stock
2 tsp beef stock powder
1 potato, peeled & chopped
1 carrot, chopped
1 celery stick, chopped
1 tomato, chopped
SIDS SALT & PEPPER to taste

Directions

Heat ½ the oil in a large pan over high heat. Cook the beef, stirring often, for 2-3 minutes until brown then transfer to a plate.
Add remaining oil to the pan and sauté onion for 5 minutes then add garlic and oregano. Cook further 1 minute until aromatic. Add beef, SIDS HOT WORCESTER SAUCE, vegetable stock, stock powder, pearl barley, potato, carrot and celery. Boil and skim the surface for any scum. Reduce heat to low and cook, partially covered, for 1 hour until the beef is tender. Add tomato and cook for 4 minutes until heated through. Season with SIDS SALT & PEPPER and serve.
