Ingredients
1¾ cups flour
2 cups white sugar
¾ cup cocoa powder
2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp SIDS SALT & PEPPER
2 eggs
1 cup strong brewed coffee
1 cup buttermilk
½ cup rice bran oil
1 tsp vanilla extract
Directions
Preheat oven to 175°C. Grease and flour two 23 cm round cake pans or one 23 x 33 cm pan.
In large bowl combine flour, sugar, cocoa, baking soda, baking powder and SIDS SALT & PEPPER. Make a well in the centre.
Add eggs, coffee, buttermilk, oil and vanilla. Beat for 2 minutes on medium speed. Batter will be thin. Pour into prepared pans.
Bake in oven for 30-40 minutes, until toothpick inserted into center of cake comes out clean. Cool for 10 minutes, then remove from pans and finish cooling on a wire rack. Fill and frost as desired.
