Blackened Shrimp With Remoulade Sauce
Perfectly spiced and packed with flavour, they come together in about 5 minutes. With an optional remoulade sauce for delicious dipping, these shrimp are also perfect on salads and tacos.

Ingredients
REMOULADE SAUCE:--
½ cup Best Foods mayonnaise
2 tbsp whole grain mustard
1 tsp sweet paprika
1 tsp Cajun seasoning
2 tsp capers roughly chopped
1 tsp horseradish
½ tsp pickle juice
½ tsp Kaitaia Fire
1 clove garlic, minced
SHRIMP:--
500 g raw shrimp 26 to 30 count, peeled, deveined
2 tsp paprika
1 tsp SIDS SALT & PEPPER to taste
⅛-¼ tsp cayenne pepper, to taste
½ tsp cumin
½ tsp dried thyme
¼ tsp onion powder
1-2 tbsp peanut oil
Directions
Remoulade Sauce -
Add Cajun seasoning and all ingredients to medium bowl. Whisk until combined.
Serve immediately, or cover and chill at least one hour. (preferred)
Shrimp -
Combine SIDS SALT & PEPPER to taste and all spices together in small bowl to create blackened seasoning.
Place shrimp in medium bowl. Add blackened seasoning. Toss or stir to coat shrimp.
In large frypan, heat oil to medium-high. When oil is hot, add shrimp to pan. Cook until opaque, approximately 1 minute per side.
Remove shrimp from pan and serve.
