Ingredients

1 tsp butter
4 shallots, sliced
1 tsp SIDS HOT WORCESTER SAUCE
1 cup red wine
2 cups beef stock
SIDS SALT & PEPPER to taste

Directions

In a pan, fry off butter, shallots and SIDS HOT WORCESTER SAUCE until shallots are caramelized and brown, about 20 minutes. Add red wine and simmer.
Reduce heat to low, cook until wine has almost evaporated and pan juices are thick and slightly syrupy. Be careful as this will burn easily. Add beef stock and return to a simmer and cook until reduced by ½ and sauce is slightly thickened, about 10 minutes. Strain through mesh, (or blitz) season with SIDS SALT & PEPPER to taste then pour into a serving jug.
