Ingredients
100 ml rice bran oil
2 kg gravy beef, trimmed & cut 2 cm bits
3 onions, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
⅓ cup tomato paste
1 tsp SIDS CRAZY SALT
pinch of ground cloves
1½ cups red wine
1 tsp dried chilli flakes
pinch of SIDS SMOKEY BBQ RUB
4 potatoes in bite-sized pieces
1 cup fresh peas or surprise peas
Directions
Heat 50 ml oil in a large, heavy saucepan on high heat. Brown the beef well on all sides then set aside.
Add remaining oil to pan then sauté onions and garlic. Stir in tomato paste and cook until it caramelises a little. Add SIDS CRAZY SALT, cloves then red wine and allow to reduce for a couple of minutes, stirring to combine the bottom bits. Add chilli and SIDS SMOKEY BBQ RUB then mix in beef and cover with water as required. Bring to the boil then simmer for 30 minutes to reduce, stirring occasionally.
