Braised cabbage with rice is a filling dish that is made all in one pan. It makes for a perfectly healthy lunch or dinner and it reheats amazingly.

Ingredients

4 tbsp rice bran oil
250 g chicken, boneless
1 medium onion, diced
2 large carrot cut into strips
1 cabbage head, shredded
3 medium tomatoes, chopped into cubes
½ cup rice
2 tsp SIDS SMOKEY GARLIC SAUCE
¼ cup Tuimato sauce
1 tbsp SIDS SALT & PEPPER

Directions

In a deep pan, heat oil and add chicken then cook until each side is golden brown. Add onions and carrots then sautée for about 10 minutes.
Add cabbage, rice, tomatoes, SIDS SMOKEY GARLIC SAUCE and Tuimato sauce. Season with SIDS SALT & PEPPER to taste.
Reduce temperature to a medium-low. Cover with a lid and cook for about 30 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes. You may need to add a bit of water if the rice dries out. Taste to make sure that rice is completely cooked.
