Bulgogi (Korean Barbecued Beef)

Marinated beef strips and vegetables are barbecued or grilled. Best served over rice, with egg rolls and Korean cucumber salad.

Ingredients

500 g beef top sirloin, thin sliced
3 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp Kaitaia Fire
1 tbsp sesame oil
1 tbsp sesame seeds
1 clove garlic, minced
1 tsp white sugar
1 tsp SIDS SALT & PEPPER
1 carrot, julienned
1 spring onion, chopped
½ onion, chopped

Directions

In a large resealable plastic bag, combine soy sauce, Kaitaia Fire, sesame oil, sesame seeds, garlic, sugar and SIDS SALT & PEPPER. Place beef, carrots and onions in the bag. Seal, then shake to coat the vegetables and beef with the sauce. Refrigerate for at least 2½ hours but overnight is best.
Preheat an outdoor grill to HIGH. Remove meat and vegetables from marinade and place on a large sheet of aluminum foil then seal. Discard marinade.
Place on grill and cook for 15-20 minutes.
