Ingredients
3 tbsp rice bran oil
3 garlic cloves, sliced
1 can tomato purée
3 cups water
½ cup red wine
1 tsp iodised salt
1 tbsp SIDS RASPBERRY VINEGAR
1 pkt linguine pasta
1 kg calamari, cleaned & sliced into rings
Parmesan cheese, grated
2 tsp SIDS SMOKEY GARLIC SAUCE (optional)
Directions
Heat oil in a large pan to medium. Stir in garlic and cook until light brown. Stir in tomato, water, red wine, salt, (SIDS SMOKEY GARLIC SAUCE) and SIDS RASPBERRY VINEGAR then bring to the boil. Simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. Cook the pasta as per the packet then drain. Stir the calamari into the tomato mixture then continue simmering about 15 minutes until the squid is opaque.
Serve calamari and sauce over the pasta. Sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese.
