Sautéed carrots are flavoured with honey, bacon, and a hint of cinnamon. This is a tasty alternative to sweet potatoes and goes great with a steak.

Ingredients

500 g carrots, peeled & cut diagonally in 5 mm slices
2 slices bacon, cut in 5 mm pieces
1 tbsp honey or maple syrup
Dash ground cinnamon
SIDS SALT & PEPPER to taste
Chopped parsley for serving

Directions

CRISP THE BACON: Heat a large frying pan to medium and add the bacon pieces. Spread in an even layer and stir occasionally for around 5 minutes until the pieces are crisp. Transfer the pieces to a paper towel-lined plate.
SAUTÉ THE CARROTS: Add the chopped carrots to the pan with the drippings. Stir the carrots occasionally for 5-7 minutes until the carrots become tender.
ADD THE GLAZE: Pour in the honey or syrup, cinnamon, and SIDS SALT & PEPPER. Cook over medium heat for about 1 minute until the sauce becomes thick.
TOP AND SERVE: Remove the pan from the heat and add the bacon and sprinkle with parsley and serve warm.
