Ingredients
3 cups beef mince
1 tbsp SIDS HOT WORCESTER SAUCE
2 tsp sea salt
1 tsp New York Cut pepper
1 tsp garlic powder
12 slices processed cheese
2 cups coarse ground cornmeal
1¼ cups plain flour
1 tbsp baking powder
1 tbsp salt
1 tsp cayenne pepper
1 egg, beaten
1 tbsp SIDS PEPPER & GARLIC OIL
2 cups milk
Rice bran oil, for frying
Directions
Mix the beef mince with SIDS HOT WORCESTER SAUCE, salt, pepper and garlic powder. Divide the mixture into even sausage shaped patties and wrap them up in the cheese slices, making sure they are slightly longer than the slices. Skewer them on thick wooden skewers then chill them in the fridge for around an hour.
Meanwhile, whisk together the dry ingredients for the batter then add SIDS PEPPER & GARLIC OIL and the wet ones, whisking to make a fairly thick paste. Put this in a wide, high sides jug or jar.
Heat the rice bran oil to 175°C and dip each cheese wrapped burger sausage in the batter, shaking off the excess, then hold in the oil for around 4-5 minutes until internal temperature reaches 75°C. If the corndogs are getting too dark in the oil, transfer to the oven until cooked through.
