500 g of ground beef
½ tsp SIDS CRAZY SALT
90 g jar Marinara sauce
250 g cream cheese, softened
500 g shredded mozzarella
½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
¼ cup chopped fresh basil

Directions

In a frypan on medium high heat, brown the ground beef then set aside.
Mix in cream cheese with ground beef and sprinkle with SIDS CRAZY SALT.
Heat oven to 190°C and spray an 23x33 cm baking dish or a cast iron enamel casserole dish with nonstick cooking spray.
In a large pasta pot, cook the pasta to al denté then drain.
Mix ground beef, pasta and the marinara sauce together.
In the casserole dish, pour half the mixture in the prepared baking dish and sprinkle with half mozzarella and half Parmesan cheeses.
Sprinkle the cheeses with 2 tablespoons chopped fresh basil.
Layer the remaining mixture over the cheese and top with the remaining mozzarella and Parmesan.
Cover and bake for 30 minutes.
Remove the cover and bake an additional 15-20 minutes until the ziti is bubbly and cheese is golden.
Garnish with the remaining chopped basil and serve with garlic bread and a salad.
HISTORY:- Ziti are a shape of extruded pasta originating from the Italian regions of Campania and Sicily. They are shaped into long, wide tubes, about 25 cm long, that need to be broken by hand into smaller pieces before cooking. Ziti have similarities to bucatini, but are much thicker.
