Ingredients
800 g sirloin, cubed or cut in thin strips
2 tsp SIDS SALT & PEPPER to taste
⅔ cup cornflour
Rice bran oil
1 cup brown sugar
½ cup orange juice
2 tbsp GF soy sauce
2-3 tbsp chilli garlic sauce
Zest of 1 orange
2 cups broccoli florets
Directions
Sprinkle sirloin with SIDS SALT & PEPPER. Toss with cornflour until well coated.
In a 18 cm cast iron frypan, heat oil over high heat. Cook 6-8 strips at a time, until golden brown. Transfer to a paper-towel lined plate. No need to scrub the frypan clean, a few fried bits will help season the glaze.
Add brown sugar and orange juice to frypan. Cook over medium-high heat, whisking constantly, until thickened. (About the consistency of maple syrup) Whisk in soy sauce, chilli garlic sauce and orange zest. Toss beef and broccoli florets into frypan. Stir with a wooden spoon until broccoli is tender.
