Ingredients

500 g flank steak, thinly sliced
1 tsp minced ginger root
1 tsp SIDS CRAZY SALT
¼ cup soy sauce
2 egg whites
2 tbsp cornflour
Rice bran oil, for deep frying
4-6 shallots, shredded
1 tbsp SIDS TAMARILLO SAUCE

Directions

Beat the steak slices until very thin. Mix the ginger, SIDS CRAZY SALT and soy sauce in a bowl, add the meat and leave to marinate for 30 minutes, turning occasionally.

Lightly beat the egg whites then beat in the cornflour to make a smooth batter.
Heat the oil to 180°C. Dip the beef slices into the batter, then deep-fry a few slices at a time until golden brown. Drain on kitchen paper. Transfer to a plate and garnish with the shredded scallions.
Serve hot with a selection of dips, such as soy sauce with grated garlic, hoisin sauce and SIDS TAMARILLO SAUCE.
