Filet Mignon

Ingredients

4 x 250 g beef tenderloin steaks, cut 2 cm thick
3 tsp olive oil
½ tsp onion powder
SIDS SALT & PEPPER to taste
4 tbsp minced shallot
4 slices bacon

Directions

Place oven rack in it's highest position and set oven to GRILL.
Rub steaks all over with olive oil. Sprinkle with onion powder and SIDS SALT & PEPPER to taste.
Wrap one slice of bacon around each steak and secure with a toothpick.
Place steaks onto a griller pan and grill for 5-7 minutes. Turn the steaks over and sprinkle the tops with shallots.
Grill for an additional 5-7 minutes, until the steaks are cooked to your liking.
