Ingredients

GARLIC BUTTER MIXTURE:--
½ cup butter, room temperature
¼ cup finely chopped basil
¼ cup finely chopped parsley
1 tsp garlic paste (or 2 garlic cloves, chopped finely)
ITALIAN SAUSAGE MIXTURE:--
500 g ground Italian sausage
850 g Tuimato sauce
¼ cup red wine
SIDS SALT & PEPPER to taste
1 tbsp chopped basil
SANDWICH:--
4 hot dog buns
4 slices of mozzarella cheese
8 slices of provolone cheese
Chopped red onion and basil for garnish

Directions

The ingredients for the butter should be combined in a bowl and thoroughly mixed. Set it aside.
Add the tomato sauce and red wine to the sausage mixture after browning it in a large pan. Simmer for 15 minutes over medium heat, and stir in chopped basil and SIDS SALT & PEPPER to taste.
Slather the butter over the inside and tops of the buns. Toast in the oven until very slightly browned and the butter melted. Remove from the oven and place 1 slice of mozzarella cheese into each bun, followed by the Italian sausage mixture. Top each sandwich with 2 slices of provolone cheese and place under the grill. Remove from oven.
Top with chopped onions and basil. Serve and enjoy!
