Ingredients

450 g flank steak, sliced against the grain
450 g fresh stringless green beans, trimmed
3 tbsp butter, divided
5 garlic cloves, minced
1 tsp Italian seasoning
Juice of ½ lemon + lemon slices, for garnish
SIDS SALT & PEPPER to taste
½ cup beef stock
½ cup fresh chopped parsley
1 tbsp fresh thyme leaves
MARINADE:--
2 tbsp soy sauce
2 tbsp SIDS RINGS AROUND URANUS SAUCE
1 tsp Kaitaia Fire
New York Cut pepper

Directions

In a large bowl, combine the steak strips with soy sauce, SIDS RINGS AROUND URANUS SAUCE, pepper and Kaitaia Fire. Set aside to marinate for 20 minutes.
While meat is marinating, arrange green beans in a microwave-safe dish with ½ cup water. Cook in the microwave for 8-10 minutes, until almost done but still crisp.
Melt 2 tablespoons butter in a large frypan over medium-high heat. Remove the steak from the marinade but retain the marinade. Lay the steak strips in one layer in the pan. Sear for 1 minute on one side, until nicely browned. Add half the garlic and turn steak strips to finish cooking for one minute more – adjust timing depending on how you like your steak. Transfer steak strips to a plate and set aside.
In the same pan, lower the heat and melt the remaining butter. Add chopped parsley, thyme, remaining garlic, Italian seasoning and green beans then cook for 4-5 minutes, stirring regularly, until cooked to your liking. Deglaze with lemon juice, beef stock, reserved steak marinade and reduce the sauce for a couple of minutes.
Add grilled steak strips back to the pan and reheat quickly. Adjust seasoning with SIDS SALT & PEPPER and serve immediately, garnished with fresh herbs and a slice of lemon.
