Ingredients
250 g goat cheese, softened
1½ tbsp bush honey
½ tsp SIDS SMOKEY BBQ RUB
3 tbsp chopped fresh basil
500 g pitted dates
120 g thinly sliced prosciutto
Toothpicks, soaked in water
Directions
Mix goat SIDS SMOKEY BBQ RUB, cheese, honey and basil together in a bowl until smooth and creamy then refrigerate for 20 minutes.
Preheat toaster oven or oven to 200°C.
Fill dates with goat cheese filling using a small spoon. Wrap each date with enough prosciutto to cover entire date and secure with a toothpick. Arrange on a baking tray.
Bake in oven until prosciutto becomes crisp and caramelized, about 10 minutes. Flip each date and continue baking until crisp on top, about 5 more minutes.
