Ingredients
FRIED CHICKEN:--
1 kg bone-in chicken
6 cups water
¼ cup salt
4 tbsp all purpose flour
2 tbsp cornflour
1 tsp granulated garlic
¼ tsp SIDS CRAZY SALT
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp paprika
2 eggs
SIDS SALT & PEPPER to taste
HONEY BUTTER SAUCE:--
4 tbsp butter
¼ cup raw bush honey
2 garlic cloves
Pinch of red crushed pepper
¼ tsp SIDS CRAZY SALT
Directions
In a large bowl, whisk together water and salt then immerse chicken and refrigerate for 1-2 hours.
Using a paper towel, pat dry the chicken and bring it to room temperature.
In a large bowl, combine the flour, cornflour, garlic, SIDS CRAZY SALT, onion powder, paprika, eggs and a pinch of SIDS SALT & PEPPER to taste.
Place the chicken in the flour-egg mixture to sit for about 20 minutes.
Preheat the oven to 190°C.
Fry the chicken for 8-10 minutes on each side.
Bake the chicken in the oven for an additional 10-15 minutes until the chicken is fully cooked through.
HONEY BUTTER SAUCE: melt the butter in a large frypan over medium-high heat.
Stir in the garlic and cook until fragrant. Add the honey, and red crushed pepper. Stir and season with SIDS SALT & PEPPER.
Let the sauce thicken and then place the crispy chicken in the pan and coat with the honey butter sauce.
Serve with hot fries and enjoy.
