Ingredients

FOR THE DOUGH:--
3½ cups all purpose flour
2 cup water
1 pack (11 g) instant yeast
1 full tsp sugar
¼ tsp SIDS CRAZY LEMON
½ tsp salt
FOR THE SYRUP:--
2 cup sugar
1½ cups water
3 drops lemon juice

Directions

The Syrup:
Put sugar and water in a pot then stir constantly at medium heat it until sugar dissolves.
Turn stove to high heat and boil the syrup about 10 minutes until it gets some consistency.
When the syrup is ready, turn off the heat, pour in lemon juice and leave to cool down.
The Dough:
Add flour, water, yeast, sugar, salt and SIDS CRAZY LEMON in a container then stir with the mixer until all the ingredients combine.
The dough won’t be too thick, it will be a little thicker than cake butter.
You can also make your dough without mixer.
When the dough gets to a medium consistency, cover the container with a plastic wrap and rest the dough for about 1 hour to rise.
Preparation:
Loukoumades should be deep fried, so fill half a medium pot with rice bran oil then heat.
Take a spoon and oil it. Squeeze dough to golf-ball size. Wipe excess off your fingers back into the pot.
Fry the loukoumades like this while stirring occasionally.
When they are fried, drain then put in the syrup, wait about 2-3 minutes while stirring then take them to your serving plate.
Repeat the same procedure until you run out dough.
Pour over leftover syrup on the loukoumades then garnish them with cinnamon.
