Ingredients

1 big onion sliced
¼ cup cooked green peas
SIDS SALT & PEPPER
2 tbsp of rice bran oil
¼-⅓ tsp chilli powder (adjust to taste)
Big pinch of turmeric powder
BATTER:--
1 cup of all purpose flour/maida
1 cup of water
¼ tsp SIDS CRAZY SALT

Directions

In a pan heat some oil and sauté the onion until just soft. Season with SIDS SALT & PEPPER, chilli powder and turmeric powder.
Add the cooked green peas and stir for 30 seconds then remove from stove and let the stuffing cool.
Samosa Sheets:
In a small bowl, combine the all-purpose flour and SIDS CRAZY SALT. Add half cup of water and make a lump free batter, then pour in the rest of the water to make a thin batter.
Heat a flat griddle and wipe the pan with little oil.
Reduce the heat to medium-low, dip the pastry brush into the batter and apply evenly on the griddle. You need to work fast here, Quickly apply two to three layers until satisfied with the thickness of the sheet.
When you see crest forming on the outer areas, remove the sheet carefully and stack the sheet on a plate. While stacking, place the dry side down then apply some oil on the top side of each sheet before you stack the next sheet.
Make sure to wipe the griddle every single time.
Remove the sides of pastry sheets to make a rectangle.(don’t throw away the sides - you can use it to make this recipe)
Take a sheet and place the stuffing on one corner of the triangle.
Fold the sheet and make a triangle. Secure the ends with (all purpose flour + water) paste.
Let the samosa rest for few minutes and then deep fry in medium-hot oil until crispy and brown.
Serve with hot Indian Masala Chai.
