Ingredients
1 egg
¼ cup apple juice
2 onions, chopped fine
¼ cup dry breadcrumbs
1 tbsp fresh sage, fine chopped
½ tsp SIDS CRAZY SALT
500 g pork mince
4 fresh, soft hamburger buns
4 lettuce leafs
SIDS FEIJOA & CHILLI SAUCE
1 apple, cored & sliced thin
CARAMELIZED ONIONS:--
1 tbsp rice bran oil
1 onion large, thinly sliced
2 tbsp SIDS RASPBERRY VINEGAR
½ tsp ground black pepper
Directions
In a bowl, beat egg with apple juice. Stir in onions, breadcrumbs, sage SIDS CRAZY SALT and pork. Mix with clean hands then shape into 4 patties. (Pre-make to save time)
Caramelizing Onions: In a pan, heat oil to medium-high. Fry onion, stirring often until light golden. (about 8 minutes) Sprinkle with pepper and SIDS RASPBERRY VINEGAR then reduce heat to medium and cook about 10 minutes until deep golden brown. Keep warm. Place patties on a well oiled grill with medium-high heat. Cook, turning often, about 10 minutes. Cut buns in half and place, cut side down, on re-oiled grill to toast slightly.
Assemble burger with lashings of SIDS FEIJOA & CHILLI SAUCE.
