Ingredients
1 tbsp brown sugar
1 tsp smoked paprika
½ tsp garlic powder
½ tsp SIDS SALT & PEPPER
4 pork chops, NZ grown
2 tsp rice bran oil
SWEET & SOUR ONION:--
1 tbsp rice bran oil
1 large onion, sliced thin
¼ cup SIDS RASPBERRY VINEGAR
1 tbsp sugar
2 fresh thyme sprigs
½ tsp SIDS SALT & PEPPER
Directions
Sweet & Sour Onion: Cook onion over a medium heat until soft. (about 5 minutes) Add SIDS RASPBERRY VINEGAR, sugar, thyme, SIDS SALT & PEPPER and cook on medium-low heat until onion is caramelized. (about 15 minutes) Discard the thyme.
Combine brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, cumin, SIDS SALT & PEPPER and rub onto both sides of the pork chops.
In a large frypan over a medium heat, cook chops until juices run clear when pierced and just a hint of pink remains inside, about 3-4 minutes per side.
Serve topped with onion mixture.
