Ingredients

Meat & vegetables roasted in a roasting tin
2-3 tbsp plain flour
300 ml red wine
300 ml beef stock
SIDS SALT & PEPPER to taste

Directions

Remove the meat and vegetables from the roasting pan. Place the roasting pan over a medium heat and sprinkle over the flour. Stir constantly with a wooden spoon for 1 minute, until the flour has browned slightly.
Gradually add the wine and the stock, stirring constantly to loosen any browned bits stuck to the bottom of the tin. Heat, stirring well, until the sauce has thickened and is smooth. Simmer gently for 10 minutes, adding a little more stock or water if necessary to reach the desired consistency. Season with SIDS SALT & PEPPER to taste.
