Ingredients
3 tbsp brown sugar
4 tbsp paprika
3 tbsp black pepper
2 tbsp SIDS SMOKEY BBQ RUB
1 tbsp cayenne pepper
2 tsp garlic powder
2 tsp onion powder
Directions
Powder the sugar as finely as possible in a mortar or in a suitable mill. Put SIDS SMOKEY BBQ RUB and all the ingredients in a dry, clean, sealable glass, close and shake vigorously for 20-30 seconds. Also shake for a few seconds before each use.
The mixture should be used rather sparingly. It goes very well with beef and pork.
The meat can be put on the grill immediately after seasoning / rubbing. The exposure time should not exceed one hour, as the high salt content deprives the meat of the water and it is otherwise too dry.
Ideal for seasoning and marinating grilled meat, stewed and rolled roast.
This rub is made with a little apple juice, honey, or syrup to a liquid coating marinade or strong roast glaze.
A tsp of rub on two tablespoons of SIDS RASPBERRY HONEY MAYO or Tuimato Sauce will become an interesting dip.
