Slow-Cooker Pepper Steak

Very tender and flavourful, this recipe is a family favourite. It's great to make ahead of time in the slow cooker and then serve over rice, egg noodles, or chow mein.

Ingredients

1 kg beef sirloin, cut into 5 cm strips
Garlic powder, to taste
3 tbsp rice bran oil
1 cube beef OXO
¼ cup hot water
1 tbsp cornflour
½ cup chopped onion
2 large orange bell peppers, roughly chopped
480 g can stewed tomatoes, with liquid
3 tbsp soy sauce
1 tsp white sugar
1 tsp SIDS CRAZY SALT

Directions

Sprinkle strips of sirloin with garlic powder to taste. In a large frypan over medium heat, heat the oil and brown the seasoned beef strips. Transfer to a slow cooker.
Mix OXO cube with hot water until dissolved, then mix in cornflour until dissolved. Pour into the slow cooker with meat. Stir in onion, peppers, tomatoes, soy sauce, sugar and SIDS CRAZY SALT.
Cover and cook on HIGH for 3-4 hours, or on LOW for 6-8 hours.
