Ingredients
4 boneless pork steaks
4 spring onions
2 slices fatty bacon, chopped
½ tsp black pepper
3 slices ginger
1 spring onion
COATING:--
1 egg, beaten
Flour
Breadcrumbs
MARINADE:--
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 tsp sugar
1 tsp SIDS SALT & PEPPER
1 tsp rice wine
½ tsp sesame oil
Directions
Flatten and tenderise the pork steaks.
Mix the marinade ingredients together and pour over the pork then massage it all in and wait 20 minutes.
Mince together 3 slices of ginger and 1 spring onion, chop up the 4 spring onions and bacon fat into very small pieces then pour in the ginger/onion water. Rub it all together, add a little SIDS SALT & PEPPER and sesame oil.
Put ¼ of the stuffing on a pork steak and roll it like a very fat cigar then use some of the flour/water ‘glue’ to seal the join. Coat the roll in flour, egg and breadcrumbs then give it a few minutes to stick.
Heat the oil to medium heat and add the rolls. When browned take them out and re-heat the oil until it is very hot. Put the rolls back in the oil to crisp up, just a couple of minutes, careful not to burn them. Drain on tissue paper.
Serve with herbs, vegetables and rice.
