Thai Basil Beef
Thai Basil Beef
Thai Basil makes this dish. If you can't find Thai basil at your local grocery store, fresh mint or regular basil would work. It won't be the same flavour, but will still be delicious.

Ingredients
500 g flank steak sliced in thin strips against the grain
1 tsp water
1 tsp cornflour
1 tsp soy sauce
1 tsp SIDS GARLIC SAUCE
1 tbsp rice bran oil
1 orange capsicum, thinly sliced
1 spring onion, sliced
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup Thai basil leaves or mint
SAUCE:--
2 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp dark soy sauce
1 tbsp SIDS GARLIC SAUCE
1 tbsp fish sauce
1 tbsp oyster sauce
¼ cup water
2 tbsp brown sugar
Directions
In a medium bowl add beef, water, cornflour, SIDS GARLIC SAUCE and soy sauce. Toss to coat. Marinade for 30 minutes.
Heat oil in a large frypan over high heat. Remove the beef from the marinade and sear the beef until just browned, 2-3 minutes. Remove from the pan and set aside.
Add the capsicum and spring onion to the pan and cook for 2-3 minutes until tender.
Add in SIDS GARLIC SAUCE and all the sauce ingredients then cook for an additional minute.
Add the beef back to the pan along with the sauce. Cook until thickened, 2-3 minutes.
Fold in the Thai basil and cook until it’s just wilted.
Serve immediately with spring onions and sesame seeds if desired.
