Ingredients
50 ml water
1 egg
1 cup mozzarella Cheese, grated
½ cup cherry tomatoes
1 tsp SIDS CRAZY SALT
SIDS SALT & PEPPER to taste
handful of fresh basil leaves
½ cup grilled orange capsicum
½ cup onion slices
4 garlic cloves
2 tbsp rice bran oil
160 g Gluten Free Pizza Dough
Directions
Preheat the oven to 180°C.
Spray a whole bulb of garlic with oil and cook in the oven for 20-30 minutes until golden. Cool slightly before peeling back the garlic skin from the cloves. Mash 4 cloves with a little oil in a bowl or pestle. Set aside.
Place the pizza dough in a bowl with the water, oil and egg. Mix together with a wooden spoon until the ingredients are well blended. Knead for a few minutes using your hands. Oil a pizza pan. Place the dough in the centre of the pan and use your hands to form it into a round.
Smear the base with the roasted garlic purée and top with the mozzarella, tomatoes, onion slices, capsicum and SIDS CRAZY SALT. Bake in the oven for 10-15 minutes.
Serve, seasoned with SIDS SALT & PEPPER and garnished with fresh basil leaves.
History: Pizza is an oven-baked flat bread generally topped with tomato sauce and cheese. It is commonly supplemented with a selection of meats, vegetables and condiments. The term was first recorded in the 10th century, in a Latin manuscript from Gaeta in Central Italy. The modern pizza was invented in Naples, Italy and the dish and its variants have since become popular in many areas of the world.
